lost treasure

While looking for some old documents, I came across a postcard of an artist whose work I fell in love with while travelling through the America’s in 2006. From the moment I first saw his work in a Santa Fe gallery I was inspired. Inspired in what exactly, I have no idea. But there was defiantly a defining shift in my being. Having just experienced the same soul shifting looking at the card, I am once again inspired. This time I may actually use the inspiration. His name… is St Victor.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do…

change in season, change in reason

Yep, the weather-is-a-changing. Grey skies setting in. And with grey skies come grey minds…for the most part. Everybody - in this insane industry - is weathered (excuse the pun) and a good hibernation seems to be the general consensus. I on the other hand need no hibernation. My mind is a mess with swirling colours (both literal and figurative of course). So with some exciting projects on the horizon, I will endeavour to keep busy, and to wear more lipstick!

On lipstick: in its simplicity, a little concoction of bee’s wax and pigments (ok and a few other ingredients)can brighten up a dull face. And boy are bright lips in these coming seasons…It’s time to see RED baby! Oh yeah!

like mother like daughter

In the May 2009 Mothers Day issue of Fair Lady, there is an article about my mother and I. I have not figured out how to use photoshop yet to combine all three images, so you are going to have to accept them in three pieces…for now. The article was written by Heather Dugmore.
