I am really glad that my new years resolution was not to write on this blog everyday! I would have failed dismally already. So, I am writing now and trust that it suffices. Season is in full swing and lots has been happening since my last post.
I shot a beautiful story with an English photographer named Mark Newton, and the delightful Chrisna de Bruyn (stylist). Really looking forward to seeing the end result. www.marknewton.com / www.chrisnadebruyn.com The models were of course gorgeous, which always helps!
Regarding MUKUP Creative, I have had about five calls in the past two days about artists joining the books. So I am really looking forward to meeting them and possibly representing them. Our current creative’s have been working hard on a variety of projects since the start of the new year.
Merle Titus - The ever fabulous - will be running a hair styling course for the creative’s during February 2010.

I trust you are having a healthy, happy festive season! I certainly have. Now lets get down to the title of this latest post… If you have not noticed by now that our website has had a “wee ‘ol” revamp, well, then you must be blind or male - you know the kind that don’t notice when your girlfriend has cut her long dark hair off and dyed it pink![apologies to the exception to this rule!]
Well, I am over the moon, with my plate and my spoon (sorry, simply could not resist). In fact, I cut my holiday short so I could get cracking on this major overhaul, and this is my present to all of you (and to me).
Please peruse the new site. Feedback and comments are most welcome. Lots more exciting stuff happening very soon, so keep posted!

I can’t believe it! I am having my first solo exhibition (art) in 2 days!! Infact, it’s my first anything exhibition. So my scarcesness has been due to the fact that I have been hard at work painting (with the odd job in between). I want to thank everyone who has lent a hand during this process, but namely: Serena - for helping me design my awsome invite and Talia for getting me through my madness and self-doubt.
I will post some pics from the exhibition in the next few days. But for now, I best get back to the finishing touches…
Hope to see you there x

I am delighted to tell you that my dear friend Romi Schneider (Stern) has won the King James/OneSmallSeed Levi’s competition and she will be the new Levi’s photographer for the next campaign. I am also delighted to tell you that I will be doing the make-up for that!
I remember about a year ago, when I decided that I want to shoot for Levi’s. And here it is. I am. See, setting goals really do work!
Here are the winning pictures…

I must apologise for the nothingness that has preceded this post. I have worked a record twelve days without a break. From movies to weddings to painting on stretch marks for a television commercial to - my personal favourite - a German Glamour editorial (or two, or three)!
There are some other very exciting plans on the horizon. All will be revealed in due coarse, I promise.
Thanks for checking in!

I have been shooting a music video for Dido with Rob Nicholls of Ground Glass. Now now, don’t get too excited. You did not miss her, she was not here. The idea for her latest album is that each song on the album, Safe Trip Home will have a music video shot in a different country, by a local director. It seems that there have been a few shot already. Keep checking back here for the video. It’s been shot in and around Cape Town, and that’s the point. For a change, it’s not made to look like somewhere else! I don’t want to give it all away on the first date - best you return to seee the results!
So, although it has been a HOT & HARD two days or grueling location swapping, it has been fun. And some great new friends have been made. Welcome (back) to Cape Town David!
Well all you lovely people, I wish your a glorious weekend. Over and out yo x

Ok, so after two days of working on the cataloge I have locked down that it was a Dutch catalouge for Collumn mensware. Will posts pics when I get them.
I have a meeting this afternoon with a Dutch photographic agent. She is going to help me “fine tune” my portfolio. So if you see lots of photographs disapear, its all in the interest of quality over quantity!
